We maintain a large inventory of used and rare books, most of which are in Fine or Near Fine condition, many of which are signed or inscribed by the author, and a number of which are scarce or rare.  We focus on Victorian Literature, Modern Literature, Uncommon Books, Mysteries, Crime, Autobiography, Poets and Poetry, African-American and Black authors, topics, and history, and Ephemera of various sorts (such as photographs, letters, broadsides, and the like). A Fine copy (no dust jacket, as issued) of this Tim O'Brien short story, being number 89 of this Limited Edition comprised of 26 lettered copies and only 300 numbered copies and SIGNED BY TIM O'BRIEN. Constituting his debut Limited Edition, O'Brien wrote this post-war story in 1975, intending it to be a chapter in his famed war story "Going After Cacciato" (winner of the 1979 National Book Award for Fiction). This chapter, now a short story, deals with the protagonist after his return home from the war, describing his memories of the war and the war's aftershocks and psychic consequences. A virtually Fine copy (ever so slightly canted, foxing to edges of page block and very minor foxing to endpapers and pastedowns, pages gently age toned as expected), in a Very Good + to Near Fine dust jacket (spine lightly sunned, quite light edge wear, light soiling at lower portion of rear panel, trivial foxing and age toning to flaps), with a SIGNED PRESENTATION INSCRIPTION BY C. S. FORESTER on the title page. An installment in Forester's famed Hornblower series, inscribed and signed on the title page by Forester as follows: "With compliments from / C. S.
