The ORIGINAL DRAWINGS made by John Tavenor-Perry for use in his Article titled "Sedilia" appearing at pages 29-37 in the April 1908 issue of the magazine Christian Art. This separate book contains all 13 Original Illustrations by Tavenor-Perry used in the Article. [As mentioned in his Article, Tavenor-Perry defines "sedilia" as follows: "The name of sedilia is usually given to that group of seats which is placed on the south side of the altar for the use of the clergy during the celebration of the Holy Eucharist."] The sedilia is/are often set back into the main wall of the church itself. Figure IX in the Article appears as Figure XI in the book and Figure XI in the Article appears as Figure IX in the book. The illustrations are drawn on boards and are housed together in paper covered boards. The spine and labels thereto show wear and the boards show some soiling/staining as shown in the images, and the Figures are holding tenuously in the book.
