Clarke in the Publisher's original folded wrappers showing some spotting and marking to the outer portions of the wrappers, a crease line to the upper right front corner and some loss to the front wrapper's lower right, being only one of twenty (20) copies issued. [The item measures approximately six inches by approximately 4.5 inches.] Frank R. Stockton (1834 - 1902) was a noted American writer and humorist who was especially noted for the innovative fairy tales he wrote for children. In 1895, Stockton's "The Adventures of Captain Horn" was the third-best selling book in the United States. Item #3860
