A Very Good copy of Good Words for 1877 bound in the Publisher's original purple cloth (spine sunned and showing some wear to the spine head and tail, minor spot to the spine head, prior owner's neat pencil notes to the frontispiece's otherwise blank recto), a periodical edited by Donald Macleod and containing the first publication of Anthony Trollope's "Why Frau Frohmann Raised Her Prices" and "The Young Women at the London Telegraph Office", which tales appeared in the December, 1877 issue, and in the Christmas number of the magazine, respectively. The stories later were gathered, together with other stories, and republished in Trollope's collection of short stories titled "Why Frau Frohmann Raised Her Prices" (1881) in which "The Young Women at the London Telegraph Office" was retitled as "The Telegraph Girl". A Very Good copy, containing the debut of two Trollope short stories. We seldom see this book in the Publisher's original cloth. [Please Note: This is a heavy volume.
