A Fine copy of the first edition, first printing, in a Fine dust jacket, SIGNED BY ALICE HOFFMAN at her introduction; Bocock's second book, a complete collection of Bocock's stories, introduced by Alice Hoffman. Bocock was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and grew up on a farm in Virginia. The only Southerner in her class at Racliffe College in Cambridge, MA, she is said to have been described as a "foreigner" in a Boston Herald article. While there, Bocock married the novelist, literary critic and Professor of Literature Albert J. Guerarde. A Fine copy, SIGNED BY ALICE HOFFMAN.
