PRESENTLY DISCOUNTED. WAS $30. A Good copy of the first edition, first printing (boards spotted -- otherwise Very Good with some rubbing to the spine ends and board corners -- no dust jacket), SIGNED BY ANTHONY HOPE on the front free endpaper and there inscribed by him as follows: "To Inga / from AHH." A highly popular writer in his day, Anthony Hope Hawkins (best known as "Anthony Hope") is best known for "The Prisoner of Zenda" (1894) and its sequel "Rupert of Hentzau" (1898), each of which is considered a minor classic of English literature. Copies of "Double Harness" are not common to the market, and signed copies of it are quite scarce.
