A Very Good example of the Original Prospectus for the Shakespeare Head Edition of Anthony Trollope's Barchester Novels (which Edition was coupled with Trollope's Autobiography) with the text for the Prospectus being written by Trollope's primary bibliographer, Michael Sadleir. Composed of a large sheet of paper folded to make four pages, the Prospectus is in Very Good + condition, showing some light toning as well as two unnecessary folds, one horizontal and one vertical (presumably for mailing), and the stamp of Henry Young & Sons Ltd., Booksellers to the front page's lower margin. In our over forty years of diligent searching for Trollope scarcities and rarities, this is the only copy of this Prospectus that we ever have seen. QUITE SCARCE TO RARE. Very good +. Item #2912
